Departure point for railway experiences

Chur is the optimal departure point for unforgettable railway experiences. In Chur, both in summer and winter, guests from all over the world board the famous panorama trains operated by the Rhaetian Railway. The Glacier Express, linking St. Moritz with Zermatt, stops daily in the Alpine City. Those who are drawn to the South climb aboard the Bernina Express; connecting Chur with Tirano, it transits three language regions, diverse cultures, and even different seasons. From the Alpine City, at 595 metres above sea level, the train winds its way up through the UNESCO World Heritage region to an altitude of 2,252 metres and then back down again, arriving in Tirano, at 436 metres, less than an hour later.
